Educated at Oundle School from April 1898 where he played the piccolo in the school orchestra.
Wilfrid Redfern enlisted in the 10th Royal Fusiliers in August 1914 and went with them to France before taking a commission in the 8th East Yorkshire Regiment. He was wounded in July 1916. Wilfrid was promoted to Captain in autumn 1917. He was killed on 22nd March 1918 by a sniper when handing over his company.
