1970-92, with Shell: in Melbourne, Australia; London; Cheshire; Hong Kong; Helsinki, Finland; from 1993, Consultant with Roland Berger and Partners, working in Tallinn, London and Dusseldorf; Co-ordinator, EU Phare Privatisation Project in Estonia, 1993-95; Consultant, Oil and Gas Department, from 1995; Director of various Estonian companies: Chairman, AS Valtu-Viva (farming), from 1994; Chairman OU Valtu-Talu (farming), from 1995; AS Haide (garden plants), from 1994, Director, AS Fest Forest (forestry mangement), from 1998; member of the Dyers' Company; he and his wife Ione support the Chemin Neuf Community, with HQ at Hautcombe Abbey, France (Benedictine).
