MI at Drinkstone reads: Sacred to the memory of The Reverend Henry Patteson, 20 years Rector of this Parish and 42 years Rector of Wortham in this county. Also a Magistrate of this county and the adjoining county of Norfolk, the duties of which situations respectively he so fulfilled as to obtain the love and veneration of those more immediately connected with him and the esteem and respect of his neighbours and the public at large. He died on the III day of October AD MDCCCXXIV aged LXVII.
In the same vault are deposited the remains of his widow Sophia Patteson. She died on the VII day of December AD MDCCCLI aged LXXXVIII
