Educated at Bryanstan and Sheffield Hallam University where he won a 1st in Industrial Design. It was announced on 30th June 2023 that the 18th Earl's stepfather, Stuart Wyndham Murray Threipland, was found dead with a shotgun wound to the head in the grounds of Wilton House. It happened to be the day on which his 13-bedroomed castle in Dunbeath, Scotland was put on the market for £25 million.
