Rex was a tall well proportioned man who really wanted to act. He had such a perfect figure that he was dressed by Plenderlith the Tailor in Cambridge free of charge just so long as he told people where he got his suits from. He was ordained Priest on 23rd December 1928 at Southwark Cathedral.
Rex married his Housekeeper who was already a widow.
