Charles was educated at Winchester and Trinity College, Cambridge where he was admitted a Pensioner on 27 02 1823; a Fellow Commoner on 24 04 1823 and gained his BA in 1827 and an MA in 1830.
In 1833, William completed a small book titled "Remarks and Suggestions Relative to the Management of the Poor in Ipswich".
William inherited Christchurch in 1840. He was buried at Tuddenham on 06 08 1855.
