Elizabeth Rowe's former married name was Robinson.
Earlier it was thought that Henry Seymour's first wife was Elizabeth Edwards (1796-1857) who he had married on 11/5/1817 at St Martin in the Field, Westminster, but this is now in doubt so we show him as married to Elizabeth Rowe (formerly Robinson). Evidence of his marriage to Elizabeth Rowe is as yet obscure but there is no doubt that she was the woman who went with him to New Zealand and who died in 1857. Hence the identity of Fanny's mother is uncertain.
