Daughter of George Crompton Lees-Milne and Helen Christina Bailey. Audrey remarried 1943 Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to Cecil W Stevens.
She was the sister of diarist and architectural historian James Lees-Milne who is thought, through his development of the National Trust's Country Houses Scheme, to have done more than anyone else to save English rural homes.
