6th Baronet of Althain in the County of Lancaster. Sir Roger committed suicide by gunshot wounds to the head due to financial and political problems. (He kept a shotgun for shooting rabbits on his estate). Verdict: unsound mind.
He was the son of Sir William Wallace Rhoderic Onslow, 5th Bt. and Octavia Katherine Knox-Gore. In addition to Sir Roger they had another 4 children: Ethel Nina born 1874; Edith Doreen born 1882; Gwendolen born 1884 and William born 1888.
