Alicia had 3 sons: two were killed in France in WW1 and the third, Arnold Chevallier Aldous was only 27 when he died in 1911 at Lincoln.
Alicia died of a broken heart on Armistice Day 1934 having witnessed the highly emotional dropping of poppies ceremony at the Albert Hall annual Festival of Remembrance. She was taken to Seywell to be buried with her husband.
