Biography and Notes

Grace was the second daughter. Grandmama Smith was remembered as "a portly dame, always dressed in very handsome silk and beautiful lace. She got up late and came down for lunch. After lunch she sat at her wheel spinning silk and wool which was wovan into Poplin. She drove from Ipswich to Gorleston to stay with her daughter Mrs.John Sayers Bell, mother of John Penrice Bell and with Charlotte Baddeley taking her own carriage and servants"
