'Who was Who' credits Julius with 1 daughter by his first wife. Another source says there may have been two daughters from his first marriage.
In addition to a celebrated musical career Julius joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1916 and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the technical branch. As he was based in London he was frequently able to conduct for Thomas Beecham, often wearing uniform.
