In one account on the Internet by a surgeon on another ship, he treated Harry Percy Kendall Oram who was one of only four rescued from the loss of the submarine "Thetis" in Liverpool Bay on 1 7 1939 (99 lost).
Capt. Harry Oran commanded his own ship and saw a lot of action against German boats. He retired from the Navy 5 7 1945.
