John Bailey was the son of Hinton Richard Bailey born 1793 Stoke Charity, Hampshire and died July 1882 Broughton, Hampshire and Charlotte Fitt born 1801 Hampshire and died 1877 Stockbridge, Hampshire. They married 21 12 1820 Sparshot, Hampshire and had 11 children. In the 1881 Census, Hinton was a retired farmer.
