Of Little Oakley Hall, Essex. William's parents were William Woodthorpe of Ipswich, Suffolk and Elizabeth Ralph, daughter of Thomas Ralph of Polstead, Suffolk and his wife, Mary.
A record of unknown origin shows the death of William Woodthorpe (married to Dorothy Cobboll, daughter of Thomas) of Little Oakley Hall, Essex, yeoman; died aged 52, 25th April, at Trimley St. Martin, Suffolk, 1st May 1770. MI. Will dated 19th August 1765 proved 8th May 1770 (PCC 214 Jenner).
Cobboll of Trimley St. Martin and Dorothy his wife; born 16th November; marriage licence (Ipswich) dated 9th October 1750; executrix to her husband 8th May 1770; died 9th May, buried at Trimley St. Martin 13th May 1774. MI. Will dated 26th December 1773, proved 9th June 1774 (PCC 249 Bar grave).
