J E Parker rowing for University College, Oxford won the Ladies' Plate at Henley Royal Regatta in 1862. In 1863 he won the Wingfield Sculls (rowed from Putney to Mortlake?) and the Grand Challenge Cup and the Stewards' Challenge Cup at Henley. Surprisingly, there is no record of his having won a blue.
