Christine spent her childhood living on Army bases in England, Egypt and Belgium, attending many schools but finishing up at Bath High School. She won a scholarship to the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama where she met her husband. After a short spell in Repertory Theatre she took time out to have three daughters. Whilst living in Malta where her husband was stationed she presented a daily lunchtime show on the British Forces Broadcasting Service. On her return to England she obtained an Announcer / Presenter's job with BBC Radio 2. When Radio 2 went to 24 hours in 1978 she was the first female broadcaster in Britain to present a programme through the night nationally. She has spent many years freelancing on various commercial stations news reading and doing voice over work from her own studio. In retirement she has been a CAB advisor and records local news reports for Chichester Area Talking News for the Blind.
