Elisabeth's parents were Capt Hon Charles Henry Stanley Monck (Coldstream Guards) who was born 9/11/1876 and was killed in action in France (and is buried there) in 1917 and Mary Florence Portal, born in Middlesex in 1884 and died in Hampstead, London on 12/2/1918. They had married in London in 1804 and had three children.
