Rachel was the third of eight children. She was baptised on 3rd December 1741 at the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Wylye, Wiltshire.
She and the Rev John Harrington had 5 daughters and 4 sons. Rachel's burial place is unknown but thought to be Salisbury, Wiltshire.
