He and Ruth bought Alton House, Ross from the McConnels and they lived there until his death. His father was William H Cam born in Gloucestershire in 1851, a clerk in Holy Orders and Headmaster of a Grammar School, who died in 1927 in Oxfordshire, and his mother was Kate Scott born 1858 in Gloucestershire who died in 1949 in Oxfordshire.
