Caroline Finkel is a historian and writer based in Istanbul. She has a doctorate in Ottoman history from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and is the author of Osman's Dream. She recently (2020) helped create the Evliya Celebi, Turkey's first long distance walking and riding route, and co-wrote a guide to the route with Kate Clow and Donna Landry.
