Sir John's parents were William E Huggins born 1857 in Yorkshire who died 1915 in Yorkshire (he was a builder) and Mary Ann Thain born 15th February 1895 in Northumberland who died 6th June 1957 in Yorkshire. They had married on 19th August 1890 in Northumberland and had 4 children.
