Awarded 'Legion of Honour' The notification read as follows:
"Foreign Office, June 11th 1920. The KING has been PLEASED TO GRANT UNRESTRICTED PERMISSION TO Miss Henrietta Letitia Emma Kawana Kitchener to wear the Cross of the Chevalier of the Legion of Honour conferred opun her by the President of the French Republic in recognition of her services to the French wounded during the last war."
