Marie had married previously on 10th September 1902 at Holy Trinity, Worthing, Sussex - Lieut. William Edmund Oliver RN, who died of tubercular meningitis on 16th February 1904 at Netley. Oliver was promoted Lieutenant on 30th June, 1891. He was court-marshalled for grounding Theseus on 4th August 1899 and deprived of one year's seniority and dismissed the ship. He spent some time on port service before being appointed to Hawke for navigating duties on 18th November 1899. His only ever sea command. of the torpedo gunboat Hebe, appointed 31st October 1903 proved brief as he died mid-February, 1904.
She married Kenneth Noel Humphreys 3 years later.
