#1863, David Ian MARTIN

David Martin, who was schooled at St Albans College, Argentina, is a UK Certified Chartered Accountant by training who became a very senior business leader. He joined ICI at age 17 and worked for the company for 47 years. For the eight years prior to his retirement in 1999 he was Chairman of the ICI subsidiaries in Argentina.

He has been active in British Community affairs (for which he received the OBE) including being President of the British Hospital, the British Cemetery and the local branch of the English Speaking Union. As though that were not enough, he also presides over two classical musical institutions.
