Newton's father was Seymour Phillips Allen of Cresselly (24/05/1814 -13/03/1861) who married, on 29/07/1843 Lady Catherine Fellowes (15/05/1821 - 09/09/1900).
Seymour's mother was Gertrude Seymour-Conway who died 03/01/1825 and who married 12/11/1812 John Hensleigh Allen, of Cresseley (29/08/1769 - 09/04/1843)
Gertrude's father was Lord Robert Seymour-Conway (20/12/1748 - 23/11/1831) and her mother was his first wife, Anne Delme, daughter of Peter Delme MP, who she married on 15/06/1773. She died 29/11/1804. Gertrude was one of five children. After she died Seymour married Hon. Anderlechtia Clarissa Chetwynd (died 1855) daughter of William Chetwynd, 4th Viscount Chetwynd on 02/05/1806 but there were no more children.
Lady Catherine Fellowes (1821-1900) was the daughter of the 4th Earl of Portsmouth (1772 - 1854) who inherited Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey)
