Anne Swinnerton, Rev Walter's first wife was the daughter of William Swinnerton of Butterton, Staffordshire, barrister and Vice-Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. She bore him 7 children. In addition to Louisa Frances her eldest son and heir was Rev Egerton Bagot and another daughter was Elizabeth who married Dr Joseph Phillimore MP
