Thomas was the son of Lt. Col. Sir William Francis Barber 2nd Bt., born 20 11 1905 Nottinghamshire and died 1 4 1995, Nottinghamshire and Diana Constance Lloyd born 18 11 1913 Scotland and died 19 9 1984 Ipswich, Suffolk. They married 28 10 1936 Scotland but divorced in 1978. They have two children.
