In March 2016 Alexandra wrote to the Trust: 'My parents fathers were friends from New College, Oxford and both worked in the civil service. They lived very near and were friends of Joan Linley Cobbold (Mrs Martin Shaw) [#398 on the family tree]. My mother's mother and she bought neighbouring properties in Southwold and my mother was a great friend of their daughter Elizabeth Montgomery Campbell [#721] and I am a friend of her daughter Isobel Platings [#885] so I have heard of your family tree from her!'
Such connections bring joy to the Trust's heart!
