In the 1911 Irish Census, the whole family were living in Clifton, County Antrim where William Capp Ward (his father) was a Shop and Engine Surveyor to the Board of Trade. Their religion was Unitarian. Gained his Second Mate's Certificate for the Merchant Navy 13 09 1921. Went to live in the USA arriving there 09 01 1922 (having lived in Ireland) aboard the 'Baltic' from Liverpool. He became a US citizen 04 12 1923. No wife found.
Harold William Ward was buried 13 10 1964 in the Arlington National Cemetery (US Veterans' Graves).
