Daughter of Sir Tatton Benvenuto Mark Sykes 6th Bt born 16 3 1879 and died 16 2 1919 in a Paris Hotel from Spanish Flu whilst attending a conference on military matters and Edith Violet Gorst MP Privy Councillor born 8 1872 Kent and died 21 7 ? Yorkshire. They married 28 10 1903 Yorkshire and had 6 children. Sir Tatton B M Sykes's body was exhumed with the full approval of the family by Medical Scientists to take samples to research the Spanish Flu as his body was laid in a lead coffin so preserving the virus. They found the coffin split due to the weight of soil upon it so they took samples through the crack then replaced the soil.
