Sir Archibald was the son of Sir Robert Lucas-Tooth, 1st Baronet snd Helen Tooth. Sir Archibald was the youngest of 3 sons. Both his elder brothers were killed in action during the early part of WWI and he died towards the end of the war, having inherited the title when his father died on the 19th February 1915. With the title, 2nd Baronet Lucas-Tooth of Queen's Gate, Kensington and Kameruka, New South Wales he inherited the family estate of Holme Lacy.
Lucas-Tooth was a Major in the service of the Honourable Artillery Company and died of pneumonia whilst on active service in France. As neither he nor his brothers left any male heirs the title expired with him.
