Tributes at St. Mary's, Plympton.  Vault lined with Primroses

The large attendance at the funeral of Mrs Anna Fielding Strode, wife of Major G S S Strode, of Newnham Park, Plympton, which took place at St. Mary's Church, Plympton, on Tuesday, was evidence of the very high respect in which she was held.

Major and Mrs Strode celebrated their golden wedding three months ago, and only last week in order to mark the occasion the tenantry presented the Major with a gold cigarette case.

Mrs Strode had been ill for several months and her death took place in a nursing home.  The funeral service was conducted by the Vicar (the Rev. E J Sandford) assisted by the Rev. N J H Nisbett.

She was the daughter of Thomson Boyd of Edinburgh
