Youngest twin son (of 4 sons) of Sir Ernest Bell, CIE. In Cambridge, Frank founded the first Bell School of Languages for the teaching of English to students from overseas. Further Bell Schools were opened in Norwich (1967 and 1975), Bath (1968) and Saffron Walden (1977).
