Katherine was the daughter of the Rev. Arthur Childe-Freeman born 06 10 1820 Shropshire and died 15 02 1882 and Mary Harriet Freeman born 1836 Whitbourne, Herefordshire and died 10 01 1921. They married 01 06 1852 in Whitbourne, Herefordshire and had five children. Arthur Childe-Freeman was born Childe and added 'Freeman' after his marriage. His father was William Lacon Childe 1786-1880 (also had a different surname at birth).
