| Father | William George WEBB (1822 - 1859) |

| Mother | Caroline LEWER (1826 - 1891) |
William qualified MD from Aberdeen University in 1882. He retired from the army with the rank of Colonel in 1905. He was, however, re-employed by Southern Command in 1915 to serve as President of a travelling Medical Board until 1917.
Family lore has it that William was related to Matthew Webb (19/01/1848-23/07/1883) the forst man to swim the English Channel. We cannot substantiate this claim.
See his wife's biography for their Silver Wedding present.
