Vivien's father was Ronald Arthur Kersey born 13th September 1912 who died in 1980 in Southend on Sea, Essex and her mother was Hazel Vivienne Barnes born 13th may 1913 who died in Hatfield, Hertfordshire in 1998. Her parents had been married in Rochford, Essex in 1939 and at the time of her marriage were living at 20 Walden Rd, Welwyn Garden City, Herts.
