Family legend has it that Georgina died of a heart attack. During the great depression she loaded her pony and trap with food which she was taking for distribution to the needy when unemployed working folk, knowing she was from a wealthy family, spat on her from a bridge over the road. She was so horrified at the coarse treatment inflicted on her by the very people she was trying to assist that her heart just gave up.
