John Biggers started his working life carrying out post-doctorate research in Cambridge and then London. In 1959 he and his family emigrated to the US. John became professor first at the University of Pennsylvania, then at John Hopkins and finally at Harvard.
John's parents - Wilfred Norman Biggers, born 1898 Witney, Oxfordshire and died 1948 Ealing, London and Winifred May Gardner born 10 7 1901 Oxfordshire and died 1971 London. They married 1923 Witney, Oxfordshire.
