Alice's parents were David Jones Whitty, born 1828 and died 15 6 1866, Neath, Glamorganshire and Harriet Ann Hamlin. They had been married in 1854 in Axbridge, Somerset. Ann married secondly, in1867, John Burleigh Dixon.
