of Dallinghoo House, Woodbridge. Previously of Tannington Hall which was bought just after the war and sold in 1968 on moving to Dallinghoo.
Col. Brian was the son of Sir Thomas Vere Sherlock, 10th Bt. and Florence Meta Draper. He was awarded his DSO in 1946; he was a Brevet-Colonel of the Suffolk Yeomanry between 1944 and 1950; he was a JP from 1954, High Sheriff of Suffolk in 1956 and a DL from 1958.
