Erected, in 1815 a memorial to his family on the South wall of the parish church at Milton Abbot.
In 1789 (aged 21) he wrote "An Account of an Expedition to Devonshire" (Item 117, National Register of Archives)
Pierce and Eleanor had 5 children but only 3 survived. These were:
