Elinor More (1612-1621) was born in Shipton, Shropshire and died in Plymouth Massachusetts, USA. Her relationship to me is a bit far-fetched but here goes:
Her mother Katherine (1586-1623) was married to Sam More (1594-1662)
Sam More's daughter was Ann More (1640-1699)
Ann More's son was William Turton (1662-1692)
William Turton's son was John Turton (1688-1771)
John Turton's son was also John Turton (1746-1823) #2563 on the family tree, of Sugnall Hall, Eccleshall, Staffordshire.
John Turton's daughter, Marianne (1775-1857) married Sir Thomas Plumer (1753-1824) #855, Master of The Rolls and my 3 X great grandfather

Elinor who was assigned as a servant to Edward Winslow was therefore my 8 X great aunt. She died very soon after arrival in the USA and her mother died two years later.  Conditions on board and on arrival were very tough.

The Mayflower sailed from Plymouth on 16th September 1620 with 102 passengers on board of whom 74 were male and 28, female.

John Turton (1746-1824) married Mary Meysey; their son, also John Turton born 1773 married Margaret Hyde born1784; their son another John Turton (1822-1884) married Hannah Micklethwaite (1823-1895); their son Joe Turton (1850-1908) married Ann Tyas (1847-1917).

John Turton married a second time but his wife's name is not known.  However he had a daughter by her, Jane Turton born 1782.

We also have heard of Eliza Turton (1782-1840) but do not know of her parentage.
