of The Moat, Suffolk. William was baptised at St Margaret's, Ipswich on 12 04 1862. Around the time of his marriage to Andrina he purchased "Folly Farm" on the Tuddenham Road in Suffolk. After he had "repaired and beautified it, rechristening it The Moat", he and Andrina moved in.
Following the early death of his father Thomas, William inherited responsiblity for the Christchurch estate at just twenty-eight years of age. He sold Christchurch in 1892 so making him the last Fonnereau to live at Christchurch.
William was buried at Tuddenham on 22 09 1904.
