While living at Lyndhurst Station Bessie met and fell in love with Frank Edward Cobbold. They were married by Rev John Adamson, a Minister of the Primitive Methodist Church at Lyndhurst Station on 13th June 1889. The witnesses to the marriage were Elizabeth Jane Kippax (thought to be a governess) and Walter Frederick Mc Tavish
