Until he retired due to ill health (1843) Jane was with Richard and their children in St Mary's, Pembrokeshire, Wales. He worked at the Dockyard.
By 1851 they were all living in Church St, Ipswich. He died in 1853 and was buried at St Clement's. Jane married secondly in 1856 but had again been widowed by 1861, living once more in St Mary's, Pembrokeshire. It seems she died in London about 1878. (Did she die in Whitechapel having been married in St John's Wood?)
