#1922, Alexander George Patrick STUART

Patrick went to Orwell Park School and on to Greshams. He left in 1953 and worked for seven years as an articled clerk obtaining his membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1959. He then worked for two years in Canada before returning to join Kitcat and Aiken as an investment analyst on the London Stock Exchange.

After his marriage he took a sabbatical year travelling in Africa. He then worked for Christian Concern for Southern Africa for three years, advising the church and other investors regarding their investments in South Africa. When Janet was appointed as a lecturer at the National University of Lesotho in 1979, Patrick worked in that country as a free lance accountant. They returned to the UK in 1985 and settled in Brighton.
