Harry joined the British Army in 1912; was at the Galipoli disaster; stayed on in Egypt till 1926 and then went to Argentina as an Estate Manager when his elder brother was for a period Presbyterian Minister in a Buenos Aires church. He died early and unexpectedly of a heart attack. It is thought that his heart was weakened by severe conditions and dysentery experienced whilst in the army.
Harry was known as a jovial, hard working Scotsman.
