Adeline was the daughter of Herbert William Fisher (born 30/7/1826 in Poulshot, Wiltshire; died 17/1/1903 in Hove, Sussex) and Mary Louise Jackson. (They were married 5/8/1862)
Adeline's siblings were: Florence Henrietta (Fisher) Darwin (1864-1920) playwright; Herbert Albert Laurens Fisher (1865-1940) historian and Politician; Arthur Alexander Fisher; Emmeline Mary (Fisher) Morris; Edmund Montague Prinsep Fisher; Henry George Stanhope Fisher; William Wordsworth Fisher; Charles Dennis Fisher; Cordelia (Fisher) Curie and Edwin Fisher.
Adeline was Ralph's first great love but sadly she became incapacitated by arthritis. In 1938 Ralph met Ursula Wood who was his second great love. Adeline understood and following her husband's death invited Ursula to move in with them which she did. There followed a successful manage a trois. Joan Ursula Penton Loch was born 1911 and died 2007
