On the 31st of January, at the General Camp at Barowli, Oude, where he had been taken after being seriously wounded in pursuit of the rebels on 14th January, and to the inexpressible grief of his mother, Kennett Dixon, aged 23, formerly of the 9th Regt. Bengal Light Cavalry, late second in command of the Mooltanee Horse.  This active and gallant young officer had been on active service since the commencement of the disturbances in India, was honoured by the notice of General Nicholson, who made him his Aide-de-Camp, and was with him when he fell before Delhi.  He was a general favourite and all bear testimony to his gallant conduct.  His mother takes this opportunity of thanking all those who tended with so much care and sympathy her son's last days.
